So Apple, What's So New About the New MacBook Pro?
Every time Apple debuts a new product millions flock to its stores to try and
get their hands on said product before it’s out of stock. Apple's newest product
was announced right before the rush of holiday shopping, placing at the top of everyone’s
Christmas list this year. What product is this? It's the new and improved
MacBook Pro. The big question is still waiting to be answered though, and it is
will this MacBook live up to its hype?

Well, I personally think that it will in indeed live up to its expectations. Apple has finally found a way to accommodate to consumer’s constant want to have everything available to them at tip of their fingers. By installing the Multi-Touch strip of class at the top of the key board, Apple has created a computer different from all other touch computers in the past. This Multi-Touch feature fully encompasses the consumers' want to be in control over technology through the use of touch commands, while simultaneously maintaining the stature of a quality computer. In addition to this Multi-Touch feature, Apple has also made the new MacBook Pro lighter and thinner. This modification correlates to the fact that present day consumers are looking for devices that can do more, and weigh less. College students, for example, are looking for a computer that is high quality, easy to transport, and contains features necessary for schooling. Therefore, by adapting the newest MacBook Pro to fit within college student computer preferences, Apple is able to maintain and grow its current consumer base.

Okay, so I have elaborated on the key features of the new MacBook Pro that I think are revolutionary enough. Now, I want to quickly jump into the ways that Apple has released the product and the advertising methods that it has used in the process. I'm not sure if you have ever noticed, but every time a new Apple product is turned on the first thing that it reads is, "Hello." This is a clever, and well thought out, advertising technique that instills a sense of comfort and trust in each new consumer’s mind within their first moments of interaction with the product.
Along with highlighting this feature within its ads, Apple has also released a design process video as well as a short clip that emphasizes the MacBook Pro's newest features. Under the links for these videos they state the tagline of, "a touch of genius." Reading this tagline before clicking on either of the links listed, allows for a consumer’s perception to be influenced before even watching any form of advertisement. This tagline also relates back to the fact that Apple is targeting college students with this new release. Think about it, if a newly graduated high school student is searching for a computer to use for the next four years, why wouldn't they choose the one that literally prides itself on being "genius."
From its new product to its new advertising ploys, Apple has yet again proved itself, at least to me, that it is still ruling the tech. market today.
